34 miles - Watauga Lake to Mountain Harbor

Walked 34 miles over three days along the AT, US321 (Watauga lake) to Mountain Harbor Hostel (19E)

Cold and rainy the first day, but we stayed at Black Bear Resort at the end of 9 miles. Second Day we did a LONG 15 miles to a campsite just down from Mountaineer Shelter. Cool and misty/cloudy. Third day we did about 9 miles out to 19E, sunny and warm in the afternoon.

Used my hammock like always, Last morning was 35 degrees and everything outside was damp. We managed to start a fire even with wet wood. Gotta love lint/wax fire starters and alcohol fuel.

Sorry for low res on Vimeo - I have a 500mb/week upload limit so the video is pretty shoddy at the resolution I chose.

Nice Trip Report, Also nice pizza! I like the shots towards the end when the weather was a little better for you and sunny. Looks like a nice section to hike on the AT.

The pizza was pretty **** awesome. It was Jack's Pizza. They have a pizza oven there at the store, sort of a wide toaster oven. You put the pizza in, turn it to 450 for 15 minutes and bam, some really good stuff. I know I was hungry and all, but it was one of the best frozen pizzas I've ever had. It was the end of a first day section hike, so I didn't have that "thru-hiker hunger" going on.
