    Wow.. that is small!!

Seems pricey too. 180' of Zing It can be had from Redden for $23....$28 if you factor in shipping.

Wouldn't 550 paracord work for this? If so, it's only about $5 for about 100ft at Cabela's online, maybe other places too. I use two small pieces at each end of my hammock for loops and they have held me quite well, as i'm sure most you have used it for something similar.

Mrprez...just to clarify (dont want to confuse you) I was asking about SNT but switched on you . Esentially what I am trying to decide and accomplish (and I know Im over thinking it im sure) Is to buy one length of cord and from that make my tarp ridgline, pursick knots, reefing knots and tarp tensioners. Im trying to do it as cheaply as possible. So I want a good line but cheap line, One where If I use the same line to tie prusick knots it wont slip, and work well for tarp tensioners. But if im understanding correctly if I loop the pursick knot 3 times, then it will hold reguardless if the two ropes are the same diamiter.

Opie I like your tensioners but I think Im gonna try and make my own but will def take you up on your offer of some guidance. Hammockrookie, thanks for the tip on the paracord. How does that hold as pruskic knotts around it.

And 180' of Zing-it for $23 is a great price. Does Redden have a website or can I just find him here on the forum. And has any one experienced the problem that Mrprez mentioned with the zing-it of it sheathing along the rope due to prusick knots when using the Zing-It rope

I use SNT for everything except my ridgeline ties.

I was referring to SNT that does that. I don't think Zine-It has an inner core.

Correct, Zing It is a hollow braid. Thats why I use it so I can splice it.

Lazy.. the Zing It will not disturb the sheath on itself because it doesnt have one. You will like it... Not that easy to splice if you have big clumsy hands like me..

Thanks Opie and Mrprez, I like the sound of the Zing, And like that it is hallow and I can splice it. So that means I can make woopie sling out of it is that correct? What size needle would I need and were do I find such an item. I need a hallow needle right? Or do I Just go with the para cord for $5. But you cant use para cord for woopie slings correct?

Hey LRR, you are on the right path. The Lash-it(grey)-Zing-it(yellow) aka AHE 1.75 Utility line would let you make tie out whoopies. A very small quilting needle will do easy enough, you can get them in the sewing dept or craft dept at wallyworld you are looking for a blunt tip needle rather than a sewing needle. I have seen them in 3 packs that have a couple sizes.

All I can say is "That's why I love this forum!" Where else would someone who is trying to sell something give you help in making it yourself?

    Thanks Opie.
