    DIY Tie-on lumbar pillow

I got this idea of a lumbar pillow off YouTube (KennithKramm's channel) and I thought I'd make one that ties around your waist to hold it in place. I don't use a ridgeline most of the time and sometimes if I don't get the angle of my hammock exactly right my lower back aches, so I thought I'd try this out. Haven't used it yet but I'm camping this weekend so I'll test it out.

It's just a plain old pillow with grosgrain tie outs on both sides. It's slippery fabric so perhaps it would have been better to use fleece but we'll see. Thought this might help some other folks whose back occasionally aches in a hammock.

    Anyone else tried this?

I've really really been tempted to do something like that, but more for between my knees

I'm worried about knee strain. That might help!

I'm sure you could whip something up to help that.

My lumbar pillow was comfy and stayed put on my back in the hammock. I had no back ache. Maybe because I hung at the perfect angle or maybe because of the pillow. I'm not sure but I was comfy!
