So, I've finally finished sewing (thread injecting) my DIY hammock. I have a 1/2" rolled hem around all the edges turned to the inside. It's made of apple green ripstop sold by Ed Speers and is 12 feet long. I'll be using a variation of the W fold, but haven't decided on a suspension.... there are too many options. I have the rope from the last group buy, so I could hang it, but don't think I'll use it for that purpose - I'll use it for the preset ridgeline. The zing-it group buy will be used as tie-outs and the last group buy rope will be used
My next step is to decide suspension, find a netting pattern to use for the bug season (already have the netting form Speers), and either make or buy a tarp.
I'm so proud and excited that I did it and it wasn't hard, I just had to get over the mental hurdles.
