    What are spiders?

I just recently heard of the Strap and Spider suspension system, but I've never seen one of these things, can someone point me to them?

correct me if i'm wrong, but the spider replaces tying a marlin spike and using a toggle

and yeah, if you look at the dutch videos, you can still adjust the location of the "knot" after it's tied

pretty ingenious little invention dutch came up with

Really love mine. So light you barely notice them. I leave them on the straps full time. Rapid adjustment Marlin spike = no need to re-tie the hitch in order to adjust. Also, no need to find sticks when you get to camp!

I had a feeling it was a Dutch thing since he seems to have that kind of naming convention for his amazing Hammock themed inventions. Personally I am considering getting a set of his Cinch buckles with the Whoopie hooks attached to them. It would be even easier to remove my suspension from my hammock that way.

Both are great concepts. I made a set of cinch buckles with whoopie hooks before the spiders came out. Got a set of spiders and immediately went back to slings. One of his best products IMHO.

Maybe I didn't promote them well enough cause I think the spiders are really underrated. They make your sling or loop into a cinch buckle and if you use a sling you are making a strap into an adjustable hugger.
