    A Connecticut Yankee checking in.

    Hello from CT!
I'm Tug and I'm trying to get off the ground as much as I can for camping and have an 11' Dutchware netless on the way. I bought the whoppie slings and a ridgeline for it as well as a set of the titanium toggles and will make my own tree straps out of tubular nylon that I have for climbing.
I try to get out side as much as I can and am involved in Boy Scouts and Venture Crew. I'm also lucky enough to have a family farm with lots of varied terrain for camping out. I'm actively sailing on a tugboat which gives me a lot of time off to enjoy my favorite outdoor activities as long as life doesn't interfere. I look forward to learning a lot from you guys and gals and passing it on to the scouts that are interested.
    Thanks,
    Tug

Welcome! You might want to come to the NEHHA Spring Hang in Ashby MA April 28-30. Look in the forums for Hangouts/campouts/trip planning in the Northeast. Great place to meet people and see lots of different set ups. Bring a hungry belly as there is lots of food. Sign up on the spread sheet. Hope to see you there.

That sounds great, unfortunately I'll be on the boat that weekend. This is a recurring saying when trying to for things in my schedule.

Welcome from the Jersey Shore. Polyester straps are much better for hammock suspension since nylon stretches, moreso when wet.
