Adding shock cord to ULA Ohm 2.0

Using a tip from Shug and carrying a Stansport camp chair on the outside of my pack. It straps down nicely under the top buckle but I'd like to add some shock cord to secure it at the bottom.
Has anyone added shock cord to the outside of their pack? I'd be interested in seeing your setup.

    Thanks,

    muzzo

I use 2 pony tail stretchy holders that I "borrowed" from my wife. Works perfect on my same setup.

Couldn't you put the feet down in the pockets on each side?

I didn't want the feet to take up space in the pocket so thinking about other options of securing it.

Good question. I tried that and you could if you had less bulk at the top. You could run into issues with the width of the chair and what else is in the side pockets. Also, the width of the pack is a little narrower.

Do you have it attached to the side compression cord or through the hole?

I just loop them around themselves through the yellow side compression lines. Note, I've got the ohm maxed out with my 0 degree gear and extra clothes for a quick overnight hike and hang.

edit- I have it attached directly to the cord for adjustment.

Adding shock cord to ULA Ohm 2.0

I had some Velcro straps that wrap around themselves. I attached it to the interior leg and then around the compression cord. Looks like it'll hold and allow for quick deployment. Plus, it won't get lost by being attached to the leg.
