Was thinking about going out for a hang on April Fools day weekend. Hang in Camp Batona Wharton State Forrest NJ March 31- April 2. Let me know if anyone else is interested.

Several locals will be hiking and or canoeing to Lower Forge that weekend. You are welcome to join us.

I was looking. Don't know how I missed that. Haha. Thanks I will. Not a canoe guy but I do like hiking.

Is this for real or is it a good April Fools prank?

I did not see that post no. And no I wanted to do some car camping. I've been working hard and haven't been able to get out on my new hammock. Was just seeing if I could get some friends together for a hang.

Lower Forge is either hike or drive in, almost.
If you drive back, it's a 10-15 min walk in at most.
Should you want true car camping where your vehicle is just a few feet away, then Batona is the way to go.
The Apr 1 Lower Forge trip isn't looking good for the paddle in option, likely hike or drive in at this point.
Have sherpas, will travel...

My friends and I got sites 3 and 4 at Camp Batona. We decided as a group against Lower Forge for our trip. I'll have to come hang with you guys next time. Sorry. But anyone interested in joining us we will have a fire and will be hiking to Apple Pie Hill on Saturday.
