I bought some Battery Operated Mini LED Copper Wire String Fairy Lights for my deck. I thought they would work well for my hammock, but I haven't used them on the hammock yet. I got them off ebay in 2016 and they are still going strong.

I always like going SOBO; somehow, it feels like going downhill.
...and as it harm none, do what ye will.
Nice in the winter. Otherwise, it's a good old fashioned bug hoedown at my hammock.
No, but I used to have an inflatable pink flamingo that I would stick in my "front yard" while hammocking.
I've bought some battery operated ones at the local dollar store, dragonfly, stars and other shapes available. I just have to keep the battery case somewhere it won't get wet. But for $1, DIY doesn't even make sense. I've used them for three years now. You have to be careful with the wires in all the cheap Chinese stuff, but there isn't a whole lot else that can go wrong with them.
I have some ENO hammock lights I put up once in a while in the yard on my hammock. Never bring them backpacking though.
Fun light in the yard.
