First solo backpacking trip, to Colorado. Could use some advice.

or order one from Amazon. Good to study up and add to all intel gathered.

Excellent advice as always! I would add one thing - I would contact the Forest Service and see if you can speak with a ranger. The best advice I ever get is from those guys. They know their territory and the specific conditions that will be in effect for your trip, plus they are awesome people who would love to help you customize your trip to get the most out of it.

Great advice already given. Bring a camera we have some of the best views in the world. Plan for snow. (Woohoo yellow snow making in June) That also means snow melt water. Refrigerator cold amazing fresh taste.
