    AZ - Mogollon Rim - May 5-7

Oh man! Green chile cheese burgers! Mmmmmm delicious.
I live in Oregon now, but I grew up in New Mexico 20 minutes from Hatch. Chile rellenos and green chile cheese burgers are some of the only food I eat when I visit NM.
    Sounds like an awesome hang!

Yeah, the Sawmill Fire looks pretty well contained, shouldn't be an issue for us.

One point of clarification: the campgrounds we are going to are labelled "Sycamore" - Turkey Creek is the area, but the CG is Sycamore. It's the only real CG on the road - several informal/dispersed campsites along the way, but this one has toilets, fire rings, etc. It's almost literally at the "end of the road", where there is a loop turn-around if needed.

One additional item: some of the trees are large diameter and/or a bit of a distance apart. Bring your longer tree straps.

See ya late Thursday afternoon for those arriving early!

Thanks Kurt! We all may want to plan on bringing a bundle of wood for a communal camp fire. Still planning to arrive Thursday evening....

If anybody gets there Thursday in time for dinner, I could be talked into cooking a GCCB or two.

So what's the smoke situation? Are we going to be camping in a haze all weekend or is it blowing another direction?

It's 96% contained, and it seems like it should be far enough away that we should see no ill-effects. I doubt we will be camping in a haze.
Red Belt Grand Master Barista. Don't ask me about it, or there will be coffee made.
