Red Belt Grand Master Barista. Don't ask me about it, or there will be coffee made.

I wouldn't be opposed to hanging near the Rim. I know there are a few trailheads up near the highline Trail near payson/Pine with plenty of good trees for hanging. I'm up for anywhere.

I actually have the Long Valley site reserved for a different group that weekend. Can't believe I will miss both spring hangs. Maybe I will still swing by and say hello since I will be right there.

Put me down as a definite maybe. Since FJRPilot is driving in from El Paso, are you guys up for something more eastern, say Turkey Creek in the Chiricahuas? Lots of hammock spots, good elevation, and some of the best dayhiking in the state a short drive away up in the Monument. The following video will give you an idea of the area if you haven't been, and at 4:00 there are some views of the campgrounds.

    Just a suggestion.

That's a great suggestion Kurt. For the people in Phoenix it looks like its about 3.5 hours minus the usual 2.5 hours it takes me to get up to the rim.

Kurt, how many spots do you think we'd need to reserve to make sure we have enough trees?

Yeah, that looks great. Is this a car camp spot or would we hike in?
