As I mentioned in my OP, one of the cool things about Dutch is that he listens to his customers and is frequently receptive to their feedback. That said, this was intended as a review thread on the Chameleon hammock, and I gave my impressions on it as it was delivered to me. If you want to advocate for your own custom options, perhaps starting a thread in the Dutchware forum might be a more appropriate place to lobby.

OK, guys that was a JOKE !... I obviously know Dutch is the coolest guy in the world as I exchanged several emails with him and he answered extensively on custom projects, and for free.

Again, since this was supposed to be a simple review, perhaps starting a separate thread in the Dutchware forum might give you a more appropriate place to lobby for new features you want.

    Another Night in the Field

I slept extremely comfortably for a solid 8 hours in my Chameleon last night under mild, slightly muggy conditions in the 40s, trying a simple 1/4" CCF pad instead of my underquilt. The more experience I have with sleeping overnight in a hammock made from Hexon 1.6, the more I really appreciate the qualities of Dutch's midweight hammock fabric. For someone of my weight (175#) up to about 225 or so (my best educated guess), Hexon 1.6 seems to find that sweet spot where adequate support and comfortable give overlap. I once might have considered a single-layer hammock like this too stretchy for my tastes, but the proof is in my restful, uninterrupted slumber. Aggregated, I now have about a week of overnight hangs in the Chameleon, and my evaluation holds.

After 30+ nights spent in my Kickstarter Chameleon my opinion of it has only improved. The hammock launched on Dutchware Gear's website first thing this week, and tonight I'll be spending my first night in my second Chameleon...

    Love this thing.
