I just don't get this reversibility thing. What is it for ? Is Dream Hammocks' Sparrow built the same way ?

If the feature doesn't have value for you there are tons of other hammocks on the market. This is merely a report.

it means you can lay either head left/feet right or head right/feet left and be able to "reverse" the bug net or top cover to match. The Sparrow is either left or right lay, not both so the top cover of the sparrow can't be reversed in the same manner. You can attach the Sparrow top cover with the vent on either the head or foot end though.

OK, I think I understand now. Basically, the cover makes it an asymmetrical hammock, say right lay, but you can always turn it into a left lay if you unzip the cover or net and reverse it. If you want to lend the hammock to someone else who doesn't have your lay, is it what it is ?

    yes, exactly

or if you're not sure which lay you really are (let's say you've always had a symmetric cut hammock) you're not tied into the "Wrong" lay

Also when the hammocks are set up side by side it is best to have them going in the same direction.

Wait, wait, wait.... I must have missed this when looking at the Chameleon: are you saying that it is asym cut but can be set up for left or right lay with the same hammock?!?
