    Tarp for a Amok 3.0

Does anyone use a tarp with doors with your Amok? I'm looking for a tarp with doors that will give me plenty of coverage and plenty of head room when sitting up and lying down.

I was looking for the same thing. Worked with a vendor last weekend about a new design that will be slightly wider and much longer. Incorporating a center pole mod to account for the extra length. Fabric has been ordered.

I use a Warbonnet GT tarp for both the Amok and 90 Degree hammocks. It has doors, panel pull outs, and covers great. Check my profile for photos.

Here's a link for the tarp that Tikker mentioned above.

Jared @ SLD is a great guy, makes quality gear and he ships his products very fast.

I probably have the first version of that 90 degree tarp from Jared - back in mid November I asked Jared if he could do a 9' ridgeline using xenon wide, but with only a single center crossing pole. Sadly I haven't had a chance to get out and try it myself, its just been sitting in my closet for the last 5 months - odds are that the double crossing pole version provides more space.
For what it is worth, Jared had a tracking number to me the day after I ordered it.

Right. I originally removed the Amok's steel cinch buckles (and attached stuff sack) and replaced them with Dutch's ti buckles. Since then I have replaced those with continuous loops that connect to (Dutchware) Spiders on web straps. This makes it easier to separate the hammock from the suspension. Always fiddling.

I haven't set it up yet, but I just received the warbonnet door kit that I plan on using on my stock amok tarp. A quick basement setup looks like it'll work, but I don't know for sure yet. I should know soon when I have time to set it all up. If it works out, I'll post pictures. I like this option, since it allows you to button up when needed, but have full ventilation when you don't.
