Hi all. I'm a newbie backpacker, still looking around for my first hammock system. Found this site, it's been extremely helpful in my search. Other than areas in Michigan I'm planning on doing some hiking on the AT and in upstate NY this summer, I look forward to hanging (in a hammock) with you all!
Edit: Should have clarified, I go to school in Michigan so I'm here most of the time, but I spend my summers in Ohio!

Welcome to the forums from another Michigander. There's tons of great info here and if you ask for an opinion on specific gear, our members are brutally honest....and I mean that in a good way. I see you are right near 94. Ever get out to do the overnight loop at Pinckney/Blind Lake? Just did it last weekend. Come out to hang sometime and meet the crew.
