    SMR Inferno interesting top quilt

Not sure who all has seen this yet. I really like the top quilt idea.

This is actually pretty cool. Top quilt with a hood, and underquilt that tries to eliminate gaps, kind of like the Wooki. I hope he gets this off the ground. Always good to see new ideas.

This kickstarter project hit its funding goal. So we will see some of these creations in the wild later this year. Although, the estimated delivery date of November 2017 is off putting to me. That's 8 months from now.

    Cheers

I liked the way it looked like 2 items that came together in the pictures to form a complete unit. Then I realized it didn't. Its essentially the incubator/burrow I already have with the underquilt going to the ends like the Z-liners on my Clarks*.
Maybe I'm the odd one who after skimming it became more interested in their Nube' tarp/bugnet/gear storage system? At least until I saw they wanted $275 for it!

$699 for the 30degree package including hammock and tarp system seems a reasonable everyday price unless there is something I'm missing. That being 34% off of what they expect to sell it afterward? Uhmmm. No.

Hi guys, I designed the Inferno System and I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you might have about it.
We are posting a November delivery time because as with all new products we anticipate set backs and challenges, but we also know it's better to deliver early rather than late .

Here's our Kickstarter Page, with specifications at the bottom of the page:

I'm actually kinda liking the top quilt idea. That little video of downtek was cool too. nice to actually see the benefit of treated down at work.

Agreed, for a zero degree TQ, I really like the idea of the integrated hood. It's a fascinating design

these things are actually 800FP down! Not a bad price for the 0* set.

Am I alone in thinking that a regular sleeping bag with a hood could be converted to this kind of topquilt?
