Anyone use Simply Light Designs tarp?

Im looking into getting an asym tarp by Simply Light Designs due to the weight, price, and packability. I was curious if anyone has any experience with this particular tarp or the company as a whole? -Thanks, Hunter

I do not have This tarp but I have the SLD Winter Haven and love the tarp. You'll not find a better company to work with and Jared is lightning fast delivering his tarps.

Jared is quick, great to work with and his work is impeccable. I've got a winter haven and he answered a ton of questions for me and does custom work as well.

I don't have that tarp, but Jared is very helpful, will answer all your questions, will customize your order, pays attention to the smallest details and offers amazingly fast turnaround on custom orders.

I just slept under the Winter Haven in the snow last night. I also have one of his hammocks - the Trail Lair. Super nice guy. Very fast. The craftsmanship is amazing. Can't recommend SLD enough.
    Cheers -

I agree with everyone else. If Jared has the material in stock he will ship it out within 24 hours.

Glad you asked this question, since I'm a proud owner of the SLD Asym tarp, Winter Haven, and beta #1 of the Trail Haven tarp. The asym tarp will provide minimal coverage, but it's enough to keep you dry in the event of rain. It all depends on how you pitch it...driving rain from the side may an issue. You just have to be aware of the wind and keep a low pitch.

I use mine primarily in my summer hang spot up at the lake. It also makes a great sunshade and it's light and compact.

Unfortunately, Jared doesn't have a subforum here on the forums, so back in Sept 2016, I put together the "Simply Light Designs 101: Guide to HF Posts 9-9-16". Lots of great info from that link that should be of help There's also some direct links in there to other HF members with Asym tarp experience. Jared rocks!

Just to echo what everyone else has said, Jared is great to work with and is lightning quick. If you don't see exactly what you're looking for on his site, shoot him an email.
