Hey, duders! I'm an avid camper and recently started collecting gear to move from tent to hammock camping (and maybe even backpacking).

Here's my n00b setup:

Bear Butt Rain Fly
Bear Butt Zapper Bug Net
Bear Butt Kodiak Straps
Bear Butt Double Hammie
Cocoon Sleeping Bag Hood Pillow
Snug Pack Jungle Blanket
Twisted Root Flare Underquilt
Tyvek ground cloth

I just nabbed one of the EVRGRN crash sacks from REI's clearance sale for super cheap. Seems convenient for hammocking.

Hoping to learn a little about DIY hammock stuff and find some sweet camping areas. <3

Howdy from east Texas! There's lots of great spots all around you. I enjoyed Colorado Bend primitive area, back in my tent days. Nice hike to Gorman falls which I found very peaceful.

There is an overload of info on diy in here. Enjoy, it's a great group to hang around.
