A couple more of my underground hangs

I was back under Paris last weekend.
3 nights under this time. One night we were in our usual spot, which Ive posted about previously.
The others were new to me.
The first, I couldn't get my pittons into the walls.
Id tried in another room into the natural stone but it was so soft, they kept coming out of the walls.
So off to a reinforced tunnel where I managed to get them in.
Hanging from a pitton which is in the roof was a first for me!

The second night we had planned to sleep in a little dead end that seemed to be pretry quiet.
Turned out to be a popular party room, so we hunted around for a better sleep spot and stumbled accross another nice dead end, with convenient hanging points already anchored in.

Normally Id just crab onto this style of fitting, but my hammock was only an inch of the floor so got rid of the crabs to take up some slack.

Then last night, there was a party in one of the London WW2, deep level shelters, so as usual, took the hammocks.
Once again, found some nice convenient hanging points.

Thats it from me for now. Next installment coming soon.

Wow. As I'm new, this is first time seeing your posts. Must be pitch dark when it's time to turn out the light. Or do you use any kind of night light? The one time I was in Paris I missed my chance to explore the underground.

That's pretty cool. Nice spot to hang to get away.
Where the trail ends the adventure begins!

Yeah, the lamp thats hanging from my cord in the first pic is a carbide lamp.
I leave that on low flame overnight.
Leaving a candle burning too is another option.

Alright. I'm leaving for a week in Paris tomorrow. Is there more to exploring Paris underground than the Catacombs? All google can tell me is the CAtacombs, which is really cool, but I've seen it. Tell me more!

Well, youve got numerous other networks in central and loads of quarries outside of Paris.
But get back to the main GRS. There is always new stuff veing opened and new rooms built. Ive lost count of the amount of times Ive been and Ive still not seen it all
