    Need a new Canadian Hammock

    Hi all,
So I'm in the market for a new hammock but want to stay Canadian made if possible. Mostly to keep cost down and not pay extra on shipping. I'd rather go with a custom made so I can call it my own. I'm only currently seeing LSoH as a Canadian custom hammock maker? I have no issues with his hammocks as it seems all the reviews are steller, I just want to know my options. Rain fly/tarp is not an issue but I'll need a bug net for sure so it seems like LSoH will fit the bill, but again just looking for options.
I currently have a $40 9 footer parachute material hammock that's too short for my 6' and I'd like to upgrade.
Last issue is time line as I'm headed out to Alberta for a military tasking in about a month and a half.
Any suggestions, tips or advice is gladly welcome.

    Cheers,
    Cake.

Lsoh seems like a top notch maker of hammocks in Canada. Never heard a bad word about them and the owner is a frequent contributor of info here on the forums. Very reasonable prices on some sharp looking gear.

To my knowledge, LSOH is the only Canadian maker. With the exchange rate and shipping, LSOH's prices are pretty good. Contact James to discuss your concerns.

I'm fairly new to the game although i've been making hammocks and gear for about 3 years now. Have a look at my website if you'd like www.hogshop.ca

I really like the way his bug net stows away. sorta similar idea to the amok, where it all zips to one end, then folds/balls up and is simply tucked away with cord. easy to get back out, etc etc

Just be aware that LSOH gets all of his materials from USA vendors. So the pricing would already include the exchange rate and shipping he had to pay to get the materials sent to him.

    Cheers
