Customization at Colorado Outdoor Gear Supply

Hey everyone, I'm jumping on here today to let you know a little bit more about Colorado Outdoor Gear Supply. I had intentions of setting this site up as a fully customizable store and I don't think I expressed that as well as I could have. I have updated the descriptions of my products on my site but also wanted to let you guys and gals here know about it too. What I want my store to be is a site where people can come to to get ideas of standard products, and then have the option to make them their own. For instance, all of my hammocks and tarps are made with matching thread. Say you want to set off your Olive Drab Black Canyon of the Gunnison National tarp with some Blaze Orange thread, just put a note on the order and it will be done with no increase in price! This is just one example of what I am after but if you have other ideas or suggestions, contact me here or on FaceBook and we can make things happen!

Also, I currently have all colors in stock of my Small Possibles Pouches made to order and will be adding some more items to the site in the near future!!

Thanks and have a great day,

    Chad

I just received some small pulls that will be added to all future bags to make it a little easier to grab the zipper and open now too!

I'll second the customize deal! COGS is the official manufacturer of my buck saw pouches! You want it, he'll figure it out, tweak it, and git er done!!

Ordered one of the small bags late last week. It arrived today, so very fast turnaround. The bag is well made and just what I needed. I also appreciate the email updates. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Thanks!

I stumbled upon your product/website searching for tarps. Do you have any pictures of the Great Sands tarp at 11-ft with tie-outs? Do you seam seal just the ridge line or all seams? Thanks!

Hey krazy, thanks for getting in touch with me. I don't have a picture of the Great Sand Dune National Tarp but I will post up a picture of a Rocky Mountain National Tarp that I just finished for a customer this weekend. The only difference between the two is the Rocky Mountain National has doors where the Great Sand Dune National does not. The tarp in the picture is Khaki with side pullouts and comes with a matching stuff sack. I can tell you that this one came in at 13.6 oz. with stuff sack. As far as seam sealing, I only seal the ridgeline. It has been my experience that water has a tendency to just run down the edge seems from the ridgeline making sealing those not as important as the ridgeline.

That's my tarp! 13.6 oz? That's better than I thought it would be. Was thinking of going with a cuben fiber with doors but I can live with a 6 oz difference and a savings of over $100. Yours probably packs down smaller, too. Super excited and can't wait to try it out.

My wife and daughter have the COGS winter tarps and they are amazingly small packed up! One thing I really like about the whole hammock setup is how compact you can make it in your pack.
