I have a Zeppelin under quilt and a under quilt protector, what are your thoughts on sewing these together to make a Wookie?

In the "get a clew!" thread, Rosanne made a "hackjob wooki" by sewing triangles onto a rectangular quilt and putting clews in the ends. You could also attach it to a full piece of fabric.
The biggest issue is compressing insulation on the bottom when you lay in it. The real Wooki has some adaptations for that built-in.
I don't think compression would be a problem if the suspension isn't too tight
I recently made a Wooki clone, here.
I don't see how you could make a Wooki from an underquilt and an underquilt protector. Unless the UQP is as long as your hammock (they are usually quite a bit shorter) and you are OK to give up all the features that make a UQP a UQP.
The Wooki is in essence a single layer hammock with integrated insulation. When it's set up correctly with a UQP, the order from top to bottom is:
you - hammock - Wooki body - Wooki insulation - UQP
If you sew the Zeppelin onto the UQP to create something like a Wooki, the order would be:
you - hammock - UQP (serving as carrier) - Zeppelin
I have never seen a Zeppelin in real life, but if it is pre-shaped, it might not work that well when modded into a Wooki. The Wooki baffles are not shaped at all; they're sewn straight onto the inner shell. If the Zeppelin is wide enough, you could try a clew suspension, as suggested, and see if that works. Otherwise you're better off either selling your Zeppelin and buying a Wooki, or sewing a DIY-Wooki from scratch.
Thanks for the comments, I'm thinking that I will buy a Wookie for the wife to keep her warm and for me to study the Wookie then maybe reproduce one.
