    Interested to know something....

    Whassup Hammock community,

Hammocking deserves a special kind of atmosphere, don't you think? the world kind of fades away when you are encased in a suspended cocoon of rocking fabric. It changes the way I think about things for sure. So I am genuinely interested in knowing something about everyone who reads this. Music changes how we think, it's a biological fact. Some music for me is perfectly in sync with the mood hammocking gets me in. So lets pretend a little. You are in your all-time fav. hammock spot, Jchillin between some trees on a perfect day.

I would love it if you guys(and gals) would reply with the drink you are sipping on, as well as the music you are jammin to. As you see below, I put a link to a playlist I made as an example. It would be awesome if you would do that!(it's super easy) If you are short on time, it's cool if you also just list some songs, but I would greatly appreciate a bunch of participation!

It would be awesome to get to know some people's taste in music, it can be anything, so go have some fun finding your favorite tunes!

    So here is mine,

Drinkin a Blue Shoe in a half coconut and here is my playlist link https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...4LGUiKicXU-QNA

The music I listen to are the sounds of nature as that's the main reason I hammock camp and hike. The drink is typically water or flavored water

I'm with TrailSlug. Out in the wilds, in my hammock, I'm listening to the sounds around me. Birds calling, leaves rustling, trees rubbing together, wind in the treetops... I wouldn't want to miss all that.

When I'm back in civilization, I do listen to music from time to time. I recently discovered the band Lord Huron (not new, just new to me) and a lot of their songs seem appropriate for the trail. "Meet me in the Woods", "Ends of the Earth" and others. Some Bob Marley is always good to chill to. I also like Christian bands such as Third Day and Casting Crowns.

I'm not a drinker either, so it's either sweet tea, diet soda or water, and on the trail nothing beats freshly filtered water out of a cool tumbling stream =)

Boring I know but hey, it works for me!

Sounds are nature's own or a hiking buddy.

Other than water, a little Fireball on a cold night is nice.

never much cared for tunes while camping either

I've always just kinda been a nescafe capuccino guy, or sometimes if I'm feeling a bit saucy, I'll bring a small flask of pre-mixed margarita (lime juice, agave syrup and don julio)

When backpacking, I rarely do music, but if someone wants to lug a banjo out into the woods, I wouldn't complain... as long as they don't look at me like I'm Warren Beaty... if for any reason I WERE to bring electronic music with me, it would be:

Jalan Crossland, Trampled by Turtles, William Elliot Whitmore, The Steeldrivers, Tommy Jarrell, Hosier, Lord Huron. Stuff like that. And I never go into the woods without bourbon. It has multiple uses, if necessary.
Doh, I'm dumb. I meant NED Beatty.

    Cheers,

Saturday was the rust time I took tunes on the trail. I am often solo and though I greatly prefer listening to the sounds around me, I actually enjoyed the tunes an particularly uninspiring sections of the trail.

Everything from AC DC, to James Taylor, to Emerson Lake & Palmer and Coldplay... I just set the iPod to shuffle and let it rip.

However once I stopped moving, the tunes were shut off. I want to hear what I can't get to hear the other five days of the week.

As far as beverages... I am a bourbon man.

I usually do nature itself, but occasionally have an iPod turned down low. A couple favorites are...
    Rise- Eddie Vedder
    Going to California- LED Zeppelin

    Water, Coffee, Cocoa
