I'm a glutton for punishment, so I'll see about the no pin method first then try the pin method and pick which I like better! LOL! Thank you Jellyfish for an amazing video so far! I'll have to watch the rest later. Then it's to the thread injector!!!

I got just two pins into it and bailed.. the no pin method is far easier for me. I'm with Jellyfish.. I really don't like pins!
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Pins don't cause as many problems when they are used in heavy weight fabric, like canvas and upholstery fabric. I made this carry bag for my dutch oven recently and I used pins. None of them shot out of the fabric.
This bag is lined so it has a circle on the inside, and one on the outside. Canvas.
I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
We need two of those dutch oven bags!!!!

Love the dutch oven bag ... another project on the short list. Do you have anything inside so the legs don't poke through?
I have a galvanized steel oil pan that I put my charcoal in. The oven is sitting on that. If you don't use a charcoal pan, put some heavy cardboard or a piece of plywood under that oven or it will surely poke holes in the bag after a while.
I can put together a pattern if folks are interested. It may take a few weeks, but I can add that to my list of things.

Yes please!!! I can cut plywood discs for people if they need them.

Great video, Jellyfish! Forwarding it to my Mrs, now. (she's stuck on a beach in florida. Poor girl...)
Is it possible you will be bringing your dutch oven to the MAHHA, in a couple weeks? I'd like to check out the way it works. Might be something good for my smaller dutch ovens.

Since you have pattern/plan making on your agenda, I have a suggestion for a slight improvement of the circle pattern.
I used scissors to cut my bottom circle and believe it or not, I found it frustrating because even though the material was pinned to the pattern, the light weight let is shift, fold and fall away from the pattern. I ended up cutting the pattern and not the material. Small frustration.
So I purchased on the rotary blade circle cutters on sale at the craft store. It would be cool to have the center point of all the concentric circles printed on the template. A simple '+' where the centers are..
Not a big deal but that template and companion spread sheet and video are so complete, as they are it would be icing on the cake!
