I'm a light weight. a whooping 145 lbs soaking wet. I've managed to damage fabric by having things in my pockets. that's my own careless error.
I like wearing running shorts that have a little zipper pocket near the butt for a key. once I punctured a hammock body because the zipper was situated just right as I got in.
I think I'd trust the ratings released by the manufacturers. you just have to be careful that your clothing has no pointy parts and that your pockets are void of pokey things.
I am just under 200 and have about 40 nights this last year in mine. No problems. The 40 nights are made up of about 30 packing, unpacking, and set-up/take-downs. When it is not in the field it hangs full time in the basement for the occasional nap or relaxing hang.
I have considered lately going back to my 1.1oz Hyper D but that is because of the feel and not because of any wear issues with the Robic.

No problems at all. I don't do channel ends though, rather the modified sheet bend. I weigh 220.8.jpg
I ripped right thru mine on my second time trying it out. I'm right at 220. RSBTR replaced it after showing pics, they determined it was a fabric defect. Either way, it was Way too stretchy for my liking, and went back to the trusty 1.6 diamond fabric.
So far I think I have between one and two dozen nights in my 1.0 ROBIC DIY GE, and it still looks like it did the day I finished sewing it.

I've got about 20 nights in mine and I'm right at 6' and 200lbs and haven't had any issues. I'm very careful about emptying my pockets and not letting sand get in the hammock with me.
