    Hammock Length

I am 5'11 so I know that I dont need an 11' hammock, but I figured that it would be more comfortable. Is this a good assumption, or does it make for too much fabric?

    I'm 5'11" and need an 11 ft. hammock - it's so comfy.

I would say nearly everyone will benefit from an 11 foot hammock as the extra length adds to the comfort level.

I'm 5'8/5'9" and LOVE an 11ft hammock. I have sold all my 10' hammocks because I can tell a difference. That's what works for me!

I ordered the 11' Thunderbird! Would 72" wide be too wide though? I am thinking about maybe changing my order to the ripstop xl mainly because the Dark Brown that it comes in is the color that I want, but I am already over budget... :/

I'm 5' even and I know it's over kill but I love the extra wide hammmocks and I only had 11' hammocks never tried a 10' one. I think my love for wide hammocks came about because my first two hammocks were wide ( ENO and a grand trunk)

Hmm, I already decided that I want cinch buckles instead of the whoopie slings that I ordered so that I can hang in narrower spaces, so I have to change my order anyway. I'll ponder the XL too.

I have a Hyper D sparrow, and a Hex70 2.2 Raven. The width is great in the Raven, but I sleep perfectly well in the 7.5" narrower Sparrow. Either bird flies for me! Don't thing there is a wrong decision!!

    I've never understood this rationale

assuming your hammock has continual loops in the end channels, just learn how to tie a j-bend knot instead of using the whoopies for the short hang
