Before I knew what I was doing I went with a 67 inside and out. The difference is night and day after you use one most of the time then switch. It feels a lot softer and packs easier. I think it lets the air out easier when cramming. Then I started ordering quilts with 90 outside for "durability", but when sleeping I just don't feel like that is necessary. Maybe on a down jacket though.

Any windproofness comparison, when using your quilt on the ground and without a shelter ?

Also, I notice down loss with the 67. I've never noticed it with the 90.

I have one quilt that is 90 outer and inner and one quilt that is 90 outer and 67 inner. The 67 has a softer feel and you don't see the ripstop grid like you do in the 90 but I sleep with my hiking clothes on most of the time so I don't really notice it. For a top quilt I wouldn't mind 67 on both. For an underquilt I would probably stick with 90 on the outer layer for durability.

Honestly, if available, I'd go even lighter than 67 next time. Hoping that by next time there is lighter. It hangs on the outside of my hammock and the other I sleep under. Doesn't have to be all that durable..

The 90 should be slightly more durable and windproof, but not by any noticeable degree. Ask yourself how much the weight savings means to you.

Personally, I picked 90 on my first under quilt but selected 67 for my second under quilt. If I were to get another under quilt or top quilt, I'd definitely choose the lightest fabric.

What weight difference would that make on a regular size quilt, btw?

I went with A67 inside and A90 outside for my UQ because its a 0° Incubator that I got from Dutch and that's the only combination that he carries. But had I ordered it direct from HG, I would have gotten the same. For my 0° Burrow I went with A90 outside and A67 tafetta inside. The 67 tafetta is silky smooth, perfect for the inside of a quilt. I think 90 outside and 67 inside is a great combo BC its the best of both worlds and by using them that way, you take advantage of the different qualities they each have.
