    Loco Libre Cayenne Pepper

I got my 80" Cayenne Pepper quilt from George a couple of weeks ago. Just had a chance today to hang in my back yard and try it out. It is a pretty breezy day today here in NW GA and about 60*F. This quilt is amazing. Even seems to be a bit wind proof. Stayed nice and warm even in the breeze. Those down draft collars work really well.

I'm loving the deep purple inside. Matches my zipper hood covers of my Dream Hammock Sparrow. The wait was a little longer than expected, but it was part of his black friday sale so he had a lot of orders to get out. George was very willing and honest in his communications with me though. The wait was definitely worth it. Looking forward to using this overnight soon.

You know I really think that this is an area where the Apex synthetic insulation shines over down. I truly don't think that it can be robbed of its warmth by having cold air passing across it as badly as down. And you're right, those draft collars do make it easier to get a draft-free fit against the bottom of the hammock.

I'm wondering what it would be rated to if you did the 6.0 and added 3.6 to the whole quilt? Anyone know?

There are so many factors that can go into this. I know that I am a warm sleeper. This past weekend I took my LLG Jalapeno Pepper 3.6 down to 29 wearing a lightweight merino base layer and fleece shirt. This quilt is rated to ~45. I would say for the average person you could take a layered quit like that down into the low teens no problem; I could probably push 0.

I've been sleeping with mine for about a week now. Awesome quilt, those draft collars are the bomb. I went wide and am loving it. Won't be getting cold anytime soon. Going to start saving up for a top quilt to match.
