Well here's my typical camping experience:
Show up at camp with 10 Boy Scouts in tow.
Unload trailers
Start Scouts putting up dining fly
Round up Scouts down at the lake looking at turtles
Help Scout who left his ( tent, stakes, sleeping gear, clothes, eating utensils, etc ) at home. Have the Quartermaster supply the Scout with WW2 vintage surplus gear from the trailer to replace the item he forgot to bring.
Round up Scouts in field sticking their hands down armadillo hole. Do armadillos bite?
Desperately look for SPL who already has his hammock up and is taking a break
Argue with son over who gets the 12 foot tarp and who gets the 9 foot tarp. We both lose if my daughter is there.
Round up Scouts in woods who are wrestling in poison ivy
Desperately look for SPL to get the name of the cooks for dinner, and have them finish getting the camp kitchen organized and going. SPL makes grunting noise from his hammock, and PLs scurry to turn his bidding into action.
Discuss clothing choices with Scout who thinks Scout shorts and a hoodie is OK for 'Freeze-O-Ree'.
Where's Patrol #2 ? Why aren't their tents up? Send ASPL after them. Is that them climbing on top of the latrine? Hey, is that snoring I hear from the SPL's hammock?
Hey ... maybe I have 10 minutes to get all my stuff up. Wait a minute ... is the SPL hanging from the trees I normally use? On the hammock I made for him?
Stare at Assistant Scoutmaster and quietly do math in head to calculate when my son turns 18, and I can turn the Troop over to him.
Anything I can do to make setup faster or easier or attained with the least amount of thinking required is a blessing for me.

Wow sounds like you have your hands full
Geneaut-your post made me chuckle. I'm an ASM; change the armadillo hole to say, a mountain beaver hole and the poison ivy to poison oak and this could be our troop.
4 fleaz = 3.56g / 0.1256oz but... Look mom..! No stakes!
So worth it.
Ya darn right! Use sticks ; )
How do fleaz remove the need for stakes?4 fleaz = 3.56g / 0.1256oz but... Look mom..! No stakes!
