    New tarp tensioner tie out

Dont think this has been done before.
I wanted for a new tarp some tensioners, but had to be neat and tidy and fully removable and not able to loose any bits. Lots of versions before this one but not seen this style.

Difficult to show in pictures but these are the items.
Bungiee on the clip all else is cord.

So tarp end is just a loop of cord prussick onto the lineloc
Then that is larks head onto the tarp tie out, nothing new there.

At the stake end a loop of cord is prussicked onto the line near the stake loop.
Then a loop of bungie with a metal clip larks headed on is
    Attached to the stake loop
Then the clip just attaches onto the prussick

    This has some nice advantages.
You can move the prussick around so you can adjust the tension you like.
As its at the stake end and the adjustment is at the tarp end it makes it very easy to adjust at night, and the tensioning is well away from the adjuster.
Also it can be cinched down all the way to the prissick for a very short guyout.

I put a slippery hitch loop in the end of the cord so it cant eaisly come out of the lineloc.

If you dont like the metal clip you can rig up a cord lock and loops to attach or even mini soft shackle, i just used the clip as its quick and easy.

I have those on my silnylon tarps. They work like a charm.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is the purpose of shock cord on the tarp end AND the stake end? Why not just one or the other? Seems to me the tarp end would be easier with less likelihood of tangles.

Use it on the tarp end. The advantage is you can reach or from under the tarp and adjust the tension by sliding the prussic.

Tacblades, I love the stuff you do. I'm a subscriber to your youtube video's. I don't understand this but I'm inexperienced too.

I have a long loop perfection knot on the end of my zing it and use a pile hitch on my tent stake.

I have the line loc 3 attached to my tarp tie outs. I used super glue to bind the 1/8" end of the zing it so I can put it in the line loc without it fraying. I do usually leave them attached though. I can clove hitch some bungee in if I need to.

Why not just a piece of line ?

I just pull the lineloc to adjust.

The bungee takes the shock loading out of the line in high winds and also manages any stretch in the fabric

Silpoy also stretches but not as much as silnylon.

I usually use just a farrimond hitch, but sometimes i like to roll with lineloks

Some nice ideas there. I've done mine basically the same way Shug shows in one of his videos where the shock cord is tied into the main line but I like the idea of having the prusik as an extra option for adjustment. Planning on redoing mine soon so that gives me something to think about.

My bad. Thought the black cord was shock cord too.
What would be the advantage of this over just attaching the line loc with shock cord?
