Has anyone out there purchased Dutch's Climashield Kit for building your own underquilt? If so, any feedback?

Lots of folks have -- check the DIY forum!
Yes. Very nice kit; just enough but not too much supplies. Only thing that I would add to the instructions on the MYG site is to add grograin to the 4 corners to put on a secondary suspension, or you could use them for primary suspension like the Arrowhead quilts. I also added small pieces of grograin to each side just in case I wanted to use them to cinch the quilt up a bit. My quilt came out pretty nice and was easy to do.
I used it to make a top quilt, so can't really say. A good deal though in that you get all you need in one shot. Plus the instructions are very clear and helpful. Definatly worth it. The argon material is very nice.20161214_182001~2.jpg

Ditto ^^
Secondary suspension has been very helpful to get mine snugged up. Heres one I did from the kit.
If I could do mine over I'd add grosgrain loops along the entire channel (over the top of the channel piece) like I did in the bottom of mine. They are useful if you need to pull the quilt up with shock cord over your ridgeline when you get a pesky gap that you cant get worked out.
I made mine for a bridge hammock and often I will get a gap at about knee level and the grograin loops are perfect for getting that gap out. I also use it for a gathered end hammock. My real-world gear test of it (for me) is 3.6 climashield is comfort rated to 50 degrees and will take me to mid-40's okay. Low 40's and I had to put my UL down quilt (40 degree, shorty) on over top of it. I would definitely do another one with a kit; no waste and everything you need.
An excellent kit. I've made two 6oz for us. Never going use a pad again.
