    Good cheap hammocks

I'm a newbie so please forgive my ignorance.
I see a lot of hammock brand names mentioned here, and when I look up what they cost I'm pretty shocked.
I'm not sure I'm going to be a long lasting hanger, and I sure as heck don't have $200 to blow on something that may not work out for me, so...what is a good quality reasonably priced hammock???

There are a lot of factors to consider including your height, weight, etc... check this out as an affordable starter that is also excellent quality and one that you can definitely expand...if you add suspension you're still under $100...Also,email or call dutch and he will give great advice/ideas

Warbonnet Traveller xl, and Dutch Netless are both excellent hammocks for a reasonable price! Both are comfy and will ship fast! Not sure about the Dutch, but the warbonnet comes with suspension.

Ya. Dutch netless with cinch buckle suspension is much cheaper. Even add a fronkey net (bottom entry on dutchware) and you should still be under $150. This is still prolly cheaper then commercial brands, and much more comfy.

By the time you add a tarp you are pushing, or past, lightweight backpacking tent cost. Then again hammocks are more comfy, and if you are handy you can diy pretty easily for wwaaaayyyy less $. Hammocks are also cooler then tents. Totes cooler.

If I knew what I know now when I got into hammocking, I would have gone for a netless dutch hammock. My ENO was suggested by a classmate at school, without input from people who sleep overnight in hammocks, and if you're interested in using the hammock for overnights, a netless dutch seems to be the best reviewed option for it. Plenty of other options are out there, however.

Tablecloth hammocks are dirt cheap ($12) if you can do a little DIY. Otherwise, I'd suggest Dutch netless hammocks - I've been using them for several years.
