Hammock camping with my 7yo daughter

When I take my 6 year old we always do the bunk method. Plus he's so small he just rolls out in the mornings and hops in with me. I enjoy snuggling him listening to his plans for the day while drinking coffee in the morning. That's what memories are made of!

Lots of good advice. I always take my ridgeline off and stack hammocks. You each have your own space, but it gives the little one a sense of security that you hang inches below them. Works great with my grandkids!

I started my son at 5. I use a spreader bar, and he's in a hammock with zippered net. That way he's contained, and I wake up if he opens it.

I also found him with the hammock rolled one night, with him hanging in the net, so I feel better that he won't drop out. He's a restless sleeper.

Thanks for the pictures, I'm thinking of my daughter rolling from her hammock to mine discussing plans for the day, awesome,,

That was just about as cute as kittens mittens. I can't wait to get my girl out into the woods.

I love this. You are the best!!!

What are the dimensions on that little hammock chair? My niece is about the same size as your daughter and I'd like to make one for her.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
