    Hammock stand form scout jamboree

Hi guys, I'm looking for some advice, ideas, reassurance for a Scout jamboree that I'm prepping for.

My goal is to pack a free standing hammock stand into a civilized campground for a 10 day scout jaboree. Because it is a jamboree, my vehicle gets 1 stop at the entrance before I'm sent to some far off parking lot then shuttled back to the entrance.

I have to be able to carry or cart all my personal gear in 1 trip. A 2ND trip is already required for patrol boxes and cook gear. I don't want to do a 3rd trip for my hammock stand so it has to travel with my personal gear on the first trip.

I've got some photos coming to show you what I have been building and creating.... I'm still not convinced that I have what I need.

I'm ready to go to ground in the bivy tent, but I seriously want to sleep in a hammock instead.

I was going to put wheels on my dry box and strap the turtle dog stand to the top. I think it is somewhat blasphemous so I'm trying to avoid this option.

Instead, I've taken 2 older frame packs and created a dolly that I can attach to a waist harness. This will give me tons of space for gear but I feel like I've screwed myself for carrying the turtle dog stand......more.....

I wonder if it is possible to make a turtle dog stand that is more compact, or fits in a golf club cart or what have you.

I'm having problems considering ultralite stands, ie anything that relies on tent pegs. I'm a large guy. Large enough I don't even want to tell you how much.

I also wonder if there is a way to incorporate the stand into/as the frame for your cart. Maybe put a bottom they can rest on and put one tripod up each side.

8 foot long legs are not neccessary. If I ended up on a hill with 2x 5 foot tripods, I could be screwed. But a 5ft tripod matched with an 8foot tripod could be used on a hill
