Intro and first night in HG Burrow/Incubator 40

Hello everyone! Been lurking on here for some time but thought I'd say hi and share my most recent investment. I made the change from sleeping pad to top/underquilt. The original system though bulky worked just fine for me to date, but wow...though an investment, I was really impressed with the down (+1oz, long version) setup I received from Hammock Gear yesterday. I live in Illinois and it's been beautiful out for February here but temp was down to 36 last night. No wind, but a great test. It was perfectly warm. Length and width of the top quilt were long enough to completely wrap myself and even cover my head if needed.

Awesome!! Welcome and congrats on the hang! Personally, I wouldn't ever want to bring my TQ up over my head, but I've read about others doing it. I'd be afraid of drenching it with my breath, and hats work pretty well. If I were going to do that, I'd probably use a buff to cover my mouth and nose. Good hanging!

Agreed! I had a stocking hat on and it worked perfectly....I was just very pleased at 6 ft that there was ample length.
