    Sasquatch Bait

I could hardly backpack from sleeping on the ground. It was so painful and I woke up stiff and kinked up and it was hard to enjoy my time outdoors. Then I found a walmart hammock for 24$ and tried it. Took it to the lake and napped on the lakeside pain free. That's all it took! Now I am back to hiking and chasing bigfoot and sleeping in style. I was thinking about getting an extra large hammock and setting it out for a squatch! You never know. Seriously though I love swinging in the trees and looking up at night and drifting off. I am a hammock addict! Thank you for this resource. Looking forward to meeting some of you folks in the area.

Sasquatch bait... Hahahaha! Well, I guess if they eat people, us being in hammocks would make us more convenient to chow on!

Welcome from Maryland. The first hammock I bought was the equip from Walmart as well. Now I own all 3 equip models, a WBBBXLC , an 11' DIY hammock in black 1.6 Argon that I just made, a Snugpak 10x10 tarp, an 11' WL old man winter tarp and used to have a HH expedition with a typhoon fly. Why do I need 5 hammocks and 2 tarps you say? Its because I'm INFECTED! I was bit by the bug man! I can't stop! Once you find this site and Shug's vids, its over! Be prepared to never have a bad nights sleep outdoors ( or in like some of us as well) ever again! Your wallet might not like it too much, but its soooooo worth it! Welcome to the dark side, hahahaha.....

Welcome from south Alabama...and thank you for joining me in my madness. I spent all afternoon weighing and loading my bike packing kit while recording everything to an Excel spreadsheet. Oh, and I had a beer or three. Tomorrow it's off to the Conecuh National Forest for my February hang and trail ride!
