    Ridge Runner internal ridge line?

I recently add a Ridge Runner to my collection and was wondering if anyone had a solution to a ridge line inside the bug net? I like to hang my glasses, Luci light and other things from my ridge line on my BB XLC. I'm not crazy about cutting a hole in the bug net but I don't think there is any other way. So if I do it I was think of making a small cut to run the line through and then reinforce with tenacious tape.
    Anyone have a recommended mod?

Here's one post about this. Let us know what you decide. I store all of my "stuff" in the saddle bags but I would love a way to have something hold my phone when I watch shows at night. Last time I was out I had to swap hands as they started freezing when holding my phone.

I would be very cautious in cutting holes in anything from Warbonnet. Especially the bug net on the RR. My netted RR was very carefully designed, the grosgrain ribbon arpund the zipper was very tight in a few places. I think a little hole might become a bigger problem. Just my guess. RR have so mamy storage places, that are effective, I only have a slight problem of where to put my light. I absolutely must have light at all times due to vertigo. I am still playing with options for light.

I suggest you contact Warbonnet for suggestions before making any punctures.

The not having a hanging light inside the bug net is my biggest issue.

I sewed a loop on the inside of my bugnet. Basically sandwiched the netting between two pieces of grosgrain. I use it to clip a small carabiner to that I can clip my light and eye glasses to. You can even sew this by hand and can be removed later if you don't like it.

Similarly, I had sewed a couple small plastic d-rings inside the big net and ran a length of zing-it between them. Works well although as said before, only for lightweight items.

I actually hung in my new ridgerunner last night. I enjoyed it. My wife got me a "Hozuki" light for my hammock camping. I just hung it around the bungee cord going to the big net. It worked fine for me with the only issue is you have to unzip it to cut it off.

I was even looking into lights with blue tooth or a remote that I could attach to the pole mod of the tarp but everything I saw was too heavy.

I baby my stuff and ended up with a couple small holes in the netting near the shock cord pullout. I've contemplated an external ridgeline but won't be adding any stress to the netting

Good tip, FJR. That sounds doable.
