Greetings from NC!
I just received my new Amok and Tarp system. After my morning coffee, I shot out to the backyard to set it up for testing.
Side note: I paid close attention to the setup instructions and it's a breeze to hang this sucker! I kinda glossed over the instructions for actually getting into the hammock, though. I should've grabbed the ridge line and eased myself into the Amok, but I just sorta sat down like it was a recliner. In an instant, that sucker flipped me out the back on my noggin! Ha!
Now back to the reason for my post:
I purchased one of the recommended sleep pads on the Amok web site. I opted for the Thermarest Basecamp AF. Good choice for a sleep pad, but it seems too big for the Amok, even after letting out some of the air. In the pics attached to this post, you'll notice that the foot end of the Amok is curled up a bit.
My question for the group: Have any of you "Amokers" experienced the same scenario with "sleep pad" curl? I welcome any suggestions you may have. Thanks much!
