DIY Stuff Sack Drawstring Channels 4 Ways (video)

I finally got some time to make some stuff sacks for some of the gear I made earlier this winter, so I thought I'd experiment a little with different ways to do a drawstring channel. In this video, I'll show you how to sew drawstring channels 4 different ways:

    1. Folded Corners
    2. Casings
    3. Knotched Seam
    4. Interrupted Seam

    This video also features:
RSBTR Hyper D 1.0 in Spectra Yellow and Moroccan Blue
Alvin Draftmatic Pencil 0.9mm with 2B lead

Maybe you'll find a way that suits you. Maybe you like something else, in which case, let me know what you're up to....please!!!!
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Attn Breadcrumbs, I made this video with you in mind, knowing you got that DIY kit from RSBTR and that new Kenmore sewing machine from Mrcheviot at the New Jersey Winter Hang, so let me know what you are making, will ya?

Also, I'm thinking about an overnighter to Blackbird if you are interested.

Awww. Actually doing this side by side all in one day was actually very interesting for me. I think I'm a fan of the casings!

I've always been really cavalier with my draw channels, and it has started to bug me that I don't do a good job on them. i am going to watch and learn. Thanks for sharing.

I've only ever done the folded corner channel, and I sort of made it up as I sewed -- didn't even know it was something with a name! Thanks for showing the other styles too, as I didn't even know about them. Good work!

Looking forward to watching this! I've recently been figuring out how to use my automatic buttonhole setting on sewing machine and like those results for drawstring channels too.

I use folded corners, but I think I will check out some of your other methods. I may find one that I like better or one that works better in certain situations. Thanks for posting the video!
