    800 vs 950 fill

Can some one who owns both a 0* 800 & 950 fill quilt please let me know if there is a significant size difference between the 2 when they are in stuff sacks compressed? I currently own a 800 fill zero EE Rev X and im thinking of upgrading to a 950 fill if it will save me pack space. I just dont want to end up with 2 zero quilts.
Now that im hammocking my pack space is tight compared to my tarp days.

While I do not own either, I believe the fill power of the down should not change the size, only the weight. The higher fill power down takes up more space so less is needed to stuff a quilt, thus saves weight, but the quilt will still require the same volume of down regardless of fill power, so the size is unaffected.

So it was as simple as emailing UGQ and asking to get a firm answer. Yes it does compress smaller.

Of course it does. Less down needed for the same temperature rating. Less weight, less bulk.

Yup. And on a side note, is there any merit to the idea that 800 is more resistant to damp weather than 950? I'm not talking lying out in the rain, but just those really humid damp days where everything gets that clammy feeling.

Complete WAG here, but... If there's less down in the 950 then maybe there's less down to hold water and less to dry out. Or is 950 less oily and more absorbent?
