Bad for you but good for us to hear about.
My tarp is one place I don't want to have a drip failure.
    I'll rule that fabric out.
    Thanks for the report.

It's ok to try and find ways to lighten your load but 1.1 is as low as i'll go for something as impotant as my tarp, never really understood why someone would want cuban , most of the time spent worrying if a branch will fall thru it and it being almost see thru is a negative for me as well.As far as the membrane goes, this is the first time i've heard of it failing so fast, good luck on your next one.
Waxed canvas works well in these conditions, but you will need a friend to carry it
I have made a few waxed tarps really nice sound in the rain and bomb proof.

So I failed to realize this was the .93 wt SilPoly. So how much thinner and how much lighter is this over the 20D? Mine is a 20D and has been though a couple of fallen limb tests and is still weather proof.

Ten months in, and so far so good, with my RBTR membrane silpoly winter tarp.

14 trips, 22nights... nothing so far, but I'll keep you posted.
Hi Gadget, I'm in beautiful North Devon (Bideford) too, and planning on making one of these. If we're not too far away I was wondering if you mind me taking a look at yours and talking a few things over? Cheers, Andy
