MassDrop has the Klymit Insulated Hammock Pad on sale for $99

I saw that they have the insulated version of the pad available today for $99: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/klymit-...referer=49J7RE

I suspect the link might be the affiliate link that gives me credit for sending you there (I just copied and pasted from my browser) - if you don't like that stuff, you can try just going to the MassDrop site and searching for klymit hammock: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/

I just saw these yesterday. Anyone have any experience with either this or the regular (non-insulated) one? I'm looking at new pads and they claim this one is good for ground and air.

I have both, but since I just started hammocking, I've only used them on the ground. In general, though, I find the Static V design to be very comfortable.

The regular, non-insulated one does well for me (on the ground) above 7C / 45F; my one experience at temperatures below that was not good. I consider this one to be be for comfort only, not to be relied upon for thermal insulation.

The insulated one I have is the wide version, bought specifically because I sometimes roll off the regular size (no big deal when it's warm out, but perhaps really bad if it's very cold). I've had this one down to -23C / -10F (on the ground again... packed snow) and felt like it could have gone colder. Works really well.

I hope to try out the insulated one in my hammock very soon.

I have a Double-V and a Static V and have found them comfortable for couples (Double-V) and solo (Static V). No real experience with them in lower temperatures, but the 50's were certainly no problem on the ground.

Thank you. I'm considering the insulated hammock pad for both ground and hanging. Appreciate the feedback.
