Okay. I got off the fence and ordered my monster stakes. Hopefully this will solve my tippy-stand collapsing leg problem for good.

I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

Permanent would indeed be nice. But I rent and I highly doubt my landlord would be down with that.
Any ready-to-go setups out there? I'm all about DIY, but I'd rather spend my time on gear rather than a stand...

Made a Turtle Dog Stand a few years back. Had Home Depot cut everything for me. Easy build. Spent more time making a "stuff sack" for poles and tri-pods for easy transportation. Keeps everything together in car and easy to pack up when I leave camp.
I built a spurtle, if you need help finding the thread, post back and I'll find it. I bought a Tato stand on the kickstarter and I love it but the spurtle is totally usable (a little noisy) and straightforward to build. The Spurtle requires some attention (set it up straight and square) but it'll hold you.

Another vote for the Turtledog stand from me. Get one made in an hour easy enough.
Two long strap hinges, six 8' 2x2s and a ridgepole of you desired length.

This was about 15 dollars lumber and 5 dollars rope. And you build it the same way you would if you were out 8n the woods where poles are a better option than trees.
This is with an 8 foot Ridge pole, but I've since extended the pole to 12 feet.
This second pic barely shows it, but I just took 8foot poles and bolted them together.
