Greetings all.
Old Dominion Hangers Spring hang is coming up in April and will be at James River State Park for the second year running. This will, again, be a "service hang" where we help the park out, this year with some trail maintenance. The past two years we have had a geat time doing this, on Saturday afternoon and spending the rest of the time doing...whatever it we do.
Right now we are looking at the weekend of the 7th-9th of April but that is not locked in yet. As soon as I know for certain I shall start a sign up thread. I should know by this weekend. The volunteer co-ordinator there has been getting back to me about every day or so.
Now, This hang has been known as "PowHaW" but we have moved from Powhatan State park and I am not original with names. C'mon, my forum name is MY name, my daughters name is "Virginia" (poor kid) get the idea? I need some help, fast, with a snappy name for this hang. Send 'em to me guys n' gals.
Oh and just FYI, again this year I am planning on a silent auction for used gear, to benefit the friends of the park. So be setting aside that "old crap" which has been cluttering up your gear loft. One persons trash is another persons treasure, after all.
Also, begin thinking about meal planning and what you can bring/fix. Minniesoda and I shall be Dutch oven cooking again this year. She has a few new recipes to try out on y'all and I may do a cobbler or two.
Also, good fishing lake there and we can put in a canoe or kayak....just saying.....last year we cleaned out the launch site after all. Time for fun folks!

I shall check my calendar, but I have enjoyed both of the previous hangs and hope to be there!
