School me on the Clark jungle hammock.

I just watched a video on the Clark jungle hammock and had some questions. Is this a bridge hammock or a standard gather end hammock? The video i watched the guy had a inflate pad set up like i see on the bridge hammock but it did not have she spreader bars only some fiber glass rods like a tent . Do you sleep at a angle like a gather end or what? How does the comfort compare to my WB XLC? I'm about 6 ft 275 lbs. Any info you guys have would be great.

Gathered end, you can sleep banana or diagonal. The bars are for the canopy. I have the NX270 and Vertex 2person setups from Clark. Good stuff!

6Ft/275 myself and I have a Clark NX-270. Like the others said it is a gathered end hammock and the Fiberglas rods keep the bug net/weathershield way up & out of your face. Once I had the Clark I sold my Hennessy hammock as the Clark was that much more comfortable. Wintertime use with the NX-270 is great as the weathershield zips closed and helps to trap a great amount of warmth inside from your body.

Tinker, *if* the foot tree is really solid and if you don't have the center storage area pulled tight then go, you won't even feel them get out. Two completely separate hammocks (4 lines including the feet which you can mildly adjust to a different hang). The only time I noticed that I had a friend next to me in terms of the hammock was when the foot tree was a bit thin/flexible. They moved, the tree did, etc.
I will admit I was skeptical when I first got it but the *only* bad nights sleep is when we relied on pads and the temps plummeted to 30 (15 lower than they were supposed to). That was no fault of the vertex and since then I added the Z-liners (i have a full pictorial review in the Clark section). Those have been awesome and thankfully they work on my NX270 as well. I just recently picked up an incubator 20 and am figuring it out with the Clark and my DIY set-up.

My Vertex is an in-between model in that it has the Velcro for Z-liners but only the head bow. Later models had head and foot bows.

2 things I would like is the foot bow and the NX-270 sized hammocks as the original version can be a bit thin. I understand they make that now. I guess the easy way to put it is this: if something happened to my Vertex I would not hesitate to get a new one. I can't give it any better endorsement than that.

I have both, tx -250 and Nx -270 sure is nice to open those inside pockets and put on some extra clothes befor opening the weathershield. Also, have the Z-liner which works much better with the Nx- 270.
