A look at my new Hexon 1.0..

Figured I would give everyone a closer look at the 1.0 Dutch is now carrying. As always, a fine product, that much really goes unsaid. Like stated elsewhere, while light, this stuff feels quite strong. 11' hammock with stuff sack and ridgeline weighs in on my scale at 8.13oz, about 1/4 of my 1st hammock's weight (a 30oz Hammock Bliss No-See-Um). Highly satisfied with this hammock.

    Thanks Dutch!

I'm a backer of Dutch's Chameleon and have to decide on the fabric weight. I'm 178, 6'2'' and I was leaning toward the 1.0 but am concerned about the stretch and comfort. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have slept in my hexon 1.0 and was quite comfortable, and I weigh 300lbs.

I'm about the same height and weight. I've slept in my hexon 1.0 half-wit many many times in the last year. It's super comfortable. When I get myself a chameleon, it'll be in hexon 1.0 for sure.

Greetings. I also got a Chameleon, and IMHO much depends upon your personal preferences. On the scales the difference in the weight of your hammock body between your two fabric choices will be between 3 and 4 ounces. Both weights of Hexon will have (about) the same trademark soft-feeling finish. You and I are almost exactly the same height and weight, and after experiencing a Dutch Netless in the 1.6 fabric, I chose the same for my Chameleon, because I prefer firmer fabric and value the extra capacity and durability. I'd say if you're particularly concerned about the potential negative aspects of stretch/give in your hammock, play it safe and stick with the midweight 1.6 oz Hexon. I hope you enjoy your new hammock.

Man this hammock looks like a thong when compared to my Warbonnet Ridgerunner I'm going to try one of the Hexon hammocks though as that weight looks so inviting on longer hikes.

Made a Hammock from Hexon 1.0 Sunday night and it truly is awesome fabric. I really like the 1.6 too.

Dutch's 1.0 in WIDE was supposed to be out last summer....probably just two more weeks
