    Opinions on tarp

Been thinking about purchasing https://www.amazon.com/FREE-SOLDIER-...ck%2Btarp&th=1 lately. At this point I'm really only car camping so the weight isn't a concern. Anything else that could be a problem with this. Do you guys think it will be a noisy tarp without cat cuts?

It's only 9.8' x 10.5' wide so it is not big enough for your WBBB unless it's 10.5 long

+1 on size. My 10'x10' is small when configured for storm flaps and forget covering 2 people of average size.

I have the https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009R...rch&th=1&psc=1 Kelty Noah's Tarp 12x12. I love it and it would fit your WBBB nicely I think. It's got tons of room for porch mode, you can cook under there in inclement weather and in storm mode it really encloses you nicely, even has doors.

    Love the superfly from
Warbonnet. It gets used more than my Cuban.

No affiliation but why not stay with warbonnet. I'd agree with the size thing. Try contacting Brandon, he posted this recently.

I only have the original design 10' blackbird....not the XLC (I bought it about 8 years ago before the XLC was a thing).

As for why I'm looking at such cheap options, I'm trying to save up to replace my personal vehicle that crapped out on me and I've already been splurging too much on climbing gear lately (just spend like 600 bucks on some trad climbing gear recently and I still have a few more things I need to get of that). Going to need something for sure in a month though when I go on a 5 day trip with some friends to climb up in Arkansas. I want to go low price but still like the idea of having doors just incase things are crazy car camping out there.

Also it appears that it can be setup with the 10.5 as the length. It has center pulls on all 4 sides.

Check chinook out on amazon, there is a 12x9.5 and a 12x14. I believe both are under $50. Not the smallest or lightest to pack, but mines served me well. No doors however, but plenty of fabric you could add some tie outs by hand and make your own doors. I ordered mine and it was to my door in three days for a trip I took last year.

Here's an in use shot, don't fault the tarp for my sub par hanging skills.
