    Half-wit question

What's the purpose of this mitten hook on elastic that hangs down from inside the bug net?

Attach it to the ridge line and it will keep the net off your face when pulled back

you can roll up the night and clip that mitten hook over the rolled up net and onto the Rl to keep it out of the way

It is used to keep your nose in an upright position. This insures optimal aeration, while sleeping.

    LOL!

I use it for the purpose of keeping the bug net out of my way when entering or exiting the hammock by clipping it outside the bug net to itself or the hammock ridgeline and flip the sides of the bug net out to each side. I have used it after deploying the bug net to hand my headlamp and/or pocket knife.
