Saturday hike from teeter pond back to the cars, passing the Durham lean to along the way. ..I wouldn't be opposed to staying out somewhere Saturday night since temps will be mild and the car situation

Did anyone want to stay on Saturday night? Temps are supposed to be mild.

I'm in for Saturday night as well. Only thing up in the air for me is arrival time on Friday.

Atlas I wouldn't mind meeting at the shelter for Saturday night.

    My choices are to
A)catch a ride back to my car on Saturday with preacher, drive back down to burnt hill then hoof it back up to the shelter
    B) stay on trail and hope for a ride Sunday back to the northern parking lot.
    C) hike back Sunday with Stryker

I'm parking at access #8 - the 5 car lot at burnt hill road - and hoofing it the .25 mile into the shelter. If anyone needs a ride back to their car in the northern parts of the forest I don't mind playing shuttle.

What is your ETA to the lean-to? I could shuttle you on Sunday morning, as well.

I'm pretty sure it is only 0.25 miles into the lean-to. It can't be THAT far, looking at the map.

I was probably going to leave my house in Rochester around noon.

According to preacher's estimate we should be arriving around lunchtime.

.25 is rather close to a road in my opinion but in that case I'm not all that concerned about having enough time to loop cars then hike back.
